Keylar’s Long Span Shelving is a heavy duty system designed to give you flexibility in the storage of large or heavy items. Long Span is an attractive, durable, heavy duty, bolt free, adjustable shelving system that combined with its ease of installation and surprising economy fills a void in finding a storage solution. It is designed to bridge the gap between the more conventional shelving and pallet racking, and is ideal for supermarkets or any application where long clear spans are required. The shelving provides a high visibility of goods and easy access for order picking.

Long Span shelving is a hand loaded and unloaded system. Whilst mechanical devices such as stepped trolleys or elevating order pickers may be useful for gaining access to higher storage levels, the placement of products is a manual process.

  • Long Span shelving has a fully welded end frame manufactured from an 80x40mm tube section to give you strength and stability .
  • The advantage with Keylar Long Span shelving is we can manufacture the shelving specifically to your specification for no additional cost – any height to 3000mm, any length to 3000mm, any depth to 1000mm.
  • There are 3 different sized beams, 50x20mm, 57x35mm and 80x40mm to suit your required weight loading. Beams come as either a step beam (where the board sits flush inside the beam) or a non-step beam (where the board sits on the beam.) A 1.6mm heavy duty steel shelf is also available as an alternative to board. Beams can be made to clip in on the front or the inside of the end frame.

  • The beams are fully adjustable along the height, simply clip into the end frames to support a timber or 1.6mm thick steel shelf.
  • Stand the end frames and clip in one beam at a time starting at the base level of the end frames.
  • Clip in the remaining front and rear beams at the desired heights.
  • If using step beams lay the board on the step inside the beams.
  • If using non step beams lay the board directly on top of the beams.
  • If using steel shelves lay the steel shelf over the top of the beams.
